Introduction

This is a review of the Nespresso Master Crafted Single Origin India Gran Cru capsule for the Original Line machine. All of the Master Crafted Single Origin capsules are coffees created by craftsmen. This particular coffee is a “monsooned” coffee. The coffee consists of blended Arabica and Robusta beans.

Aroma

The Nespresso Master Crafted Single Origin India has a very thick crema and an extremely strong smell that fills the room. You will notice the dome on the top of these capsules how round it is; this is because of the nitrogen packing and possibly reaction with the coffee. These are the roundest domes I’ve seen.

The Nespresso Master Crafted Single Origin India does smell woody (maybe spicy as well) as mentioned on Nespresso’s web site. Also like the smell of a windy environment, like being near an ocean.

Taste

You can brew any of the Nespresso Master Crafted Single Origin capsules as either a Espresso or Lungo size brew. The Nespresso Master Crafted Single Origin India tastes awesome brewed for either size. The India tastes woody, spicy and has a thick feel in the mouth. Very, very nice indeed!

Result

The Nespresso Master Crafted Single Origin India is just a fantastic capsule. You’ll definitely want to get a few sleeves, and you can brew it as a Lungo or an Espresso. Enjoy!

If you like this coffee, you should also checkout the other Master Crafted Origin capsules, such as Ethiopia (sun dried), or Indonesia (wet hulled), or Nicaragua (honey processed), or Colombia (late harvest, wash processed).
