Introduction

This is a review of the Nespresso Colombia Master Crafted Single Origin Gran Cru capsule for the Original Line machine. The beans used for this coffee are “washed”, which means the other skin is removed and the coffee beans with their mucilage are fermented in water for about 1-2 days or longer. The farmers also wait longer for the coffee beans to turn red. This creates an awesome flavor and produces the highest quality coffee. I give it 4 stars out of 5! The craftsmanship used here is called “late harvest and washed processed”.

Aroma

The aroma of the Nespresso Colombia Master Crafted Single Origin smells a bit like toast and a bit fruity, maybe like apple. It has a thin crema. The aroma is not very strong, but definitely has a fruity aroma to it.

Taste

What an awesome first sip taste you get when you first try the Nespresso Colombia Master Crafted Single Origin! Definitely a Gran Cru and definitely a Master Crafted coffee. This is a sour (I mean awesome) tasting Gran Cru, possibly wine like and tart, but very nice indeed!

Result

The Nespresso Colombia Master Crafted Single Origin is one Gran Cru that you will want to get a few sleeves. I am continually impressed by the high quality of coffees that Nespresso produces!

Awesome!

If you like this coffee, you should also checkout the other Master Crafted Origin capsules, such as Ethiopia (sun dried), or Indonesia (wet hulled), or India (monsooned), or Nicaragua (honey processed).
