Introduction
This is a review of the Lavazza Armonico coffee capsule for the Nespresso Original Line (OL) machine. This is a dark roast and has an intensity rating of 8, and is made with 100% arabica coffee with 5.0 grams of coffee per capsule. The package says the coffee used are arabicas from Brazil, Central America, and South America. These are plastic capsules with aluminum foil on the top and bottom of the capsules. The box has a best by date on it in the format dd/mm/yyyy. I bought this pack from Amazon, because I wanted to at least try one out, since I’ve heard Lavazza makes very good coffee. The best before on the box was marked 30/03/2022, so I presume they were produced very recently. Also they are manufactured in Italy by Lavazza themselves (unlike Peet’s or Illy).
Aroma
The Lavazza Armonico has a mild cereal like aroma to it, and is very nice. The coffee has a thin and dark crema.
Taste
The Lavazza Armonico is very nice coffee considering that these are packaged in plastic capsules. The coffee has a light sweet and bitter taste to it, the taste is like toasted grains. After drinking the coffee, there is some bitter afternotes, but it is very nice. This coffee could easily be a daily coffee – it’s that good.
Result
The Lavazza Armonico is a very nice coffee. Considering that I’ve had other aluminum brand capsules that taste worse than these (Peet’s and L’or), these are a great product and I would definitely consider buying more or some of the different varieties.
NOTE: I have a Creatista Uno, and it sounds like when I eject the pods they are somewhat sticking, but there is no issue of them falling out; It’s possible some Nespresso OL machines may have issues.
