Introduction
This is a review of the Nespresso Forest Black Limited Edition coffee capsule for the Original Line machine, which was released in the US at the end of October 2021. It was part of the normal Christmas season releases that normally occur each year at the end of October. The coffee consists of Colombian arabicas plus additional origins, and each capsule contain 5.3 grams of coffee and has an intensity of 7. Nespresso mentions aroma notes of wood and spice.
Aromas
The Nespresso Forest Black has very light floral aromas and has a woody like aroma. The crema is medium thickness and firm.
Taste
The Nespresso Forest Black has a very mild taste. It is lightly sweet with very wood like notes. It feels very nice in the mouth, and is easy drinking. I noticed that there is light bitter notes that you taste after drinking the Forest Black; this is possibly what Nespresso describes as the spicy notes. The main downside of this coffee is that it doesn’t have any special character.
Result
The Nespresso Forest Black is an easy drinking coffee. If you like medium roasts, then this one might be a good choice. For me personally, since there is no special character to this coffee, I will not order any additional sleeves of the Forest Black.
