Introduction

This is a review of the Starbucks by Nespresso Colombia coffee for the Original Line machine. This coffee can be brewed either as an Espresso sized or Lungo sized coffee. This capsule uses 5.7 grams of 100% arabica coffee per capsule.

Aroma

The box of Starbucks by Nespresso Colombia coffee claims it has walnut and herb notes, and indeed it does have walnut notes to it. I’m not sensing a herb aroma to it though, but it is a nice strong aroma and it is very pleasant. It might possibly be described as an earthy type aroma.

Taste

The Starbucks by Nespresso Colombia coffee definitely is sour on the tongue, and you can sense the taste of walnut. The walnut taste is particularly unique in that I haven’t tasted the walnut taste before in a coffee other than the Starbucks by Nespresso Colombia coffee.

Result

Personally I find the Starbucks by Nespresso Colombia coffee has a bit too strong of a sourness to it, and don’t think I would enjoy it regularly because of that, although everyone’s tastes in coffee is different, so you may enjoy it. The walnut taste of this particular coffee does make it stand out.

NOTE: Although you can brew this one as a Lungo size cup, I don’t recommend this since it is better brewed as an espresso sized cup.
