Introduction

This is a review of the Nespresso Ispirazione Ristretto Italiano Gran Cru Original Line capsule. This is an intense coffee that can be brewed as a Ristretto or an Espresso size cup.

The coffee used in this capsule is a combination of Arabicas from Brazil, South America and Kenya, plus a Robusta from South India.

Aroma

The aroma of this Gran Cru is powerful. It is hard to describe, and is possibly a combination of fruity and toasted fragrances. The aroma is a mix of flowers and fruit smells.

Taste

As the Nespresso site suggests the Ristretto Italiano has a powerful and contrasting flavour and body coffee. The roast is combined of both Arabicas and Robustas. The Robusta gives the coffee a zing! The Ristretto has a medium crema and the taste is initially sweet and almost sour on the tongue with slight bitter after flavor; but a strong flavor you will enjoy!
